REVIEW: WED 09Dec09: PART (1) The previous post must be from a novice karaoke-goer, because I have a different perspective on the SAME night. I was there that night (I was there from 8pm till 11pm), and this is my first-hand observation. It was the last Heat for Bundoora's first comp and it was literally packed to the rafters – the fullest Bundoora has been since karaoke started there 8 weeks ago, and nearly every attendee was a participating singer! This is just a 2 1/2 show (times changed to start around 8.30pm till 11pm), and the lists were full even before the show started. I timed the first rotation at 76-77 minutes (that's an hour and 16-17 minutes), meaning that the show's gonna run for 2 rotations only, so at best, an early arrival may get 2 songs in. So, if a singer comes in after 8.30pm, or submit a request after 8.30pm ..... and expect instant service …. well!!?? To me, the rotation and distribution of singers were most fair that night, most of the early-comers got their 2 songs, a lot of them did miss out for the benefit of the latecomers, some of whom did get slotted in (and the latecomers should be ever so grateful to get a song in that night!)
