BROOK HOTEL Sat 17th Dec A huge storm!..a complete power failure which had lasted for 2 hours....and at 7.15 pm it all looked as if there would be no karaoke at all at the BROOK last night.... Locally ,there had been quite some damage caused by the storm and just as we were about to go home and,as the BROOK was now in complete darkness and many patrons had gone home ...presto! on came the power.....we decided to wait 30 mins before setting up ....just in case they were just teasing us ..LOL. With the late start and virtually no patrons in sight... it certainly looked as though it was going to be a very early night indeed.....Have no fear ..LOL...at around 10 pm several groups of people streamed in and what had started out as being an almost 'no show'....had transformed into a very good night indeed! With around 15 new singers in the room add some regulars and we soon had a rotation of 25 up and running.......a very good night!!..Thanx to Lance and Jules...Dave and Kay......MIchelle..Kimberley...and many others for supporting ROVICS once again....I must make mention of 2 new singers and I believe they came via W2S....I don't know their real names but the called themselves "The Girls" and sang 2 or 3 amazing duets!!....!! See you on NEW YEARS EVE at the BROOK
