From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6pm-10pm on Sundays I tried Brewhouse Karaoke on the recommendation of a friend. She said that the atmosphere was relaxed and people friendly... songs new and old. As it was fairly local to me I thought, why not. I found it difficult to find a song that I wanted to sing, the list seemed to stick to a pretty rock only theme. However, having located a song by the Killers that I liked, I put in my slip. Shortly after, I was called over. i was told they didnt have the song. I said to the girl that I had read it in the book. She replied that there are lots of songs in the book and she can't be expected to have all of them. (So why are they in the book?) Soon after, the hostess made a comment about AFL being "gay" because they needed a replay. This may not matter to many people but I don't see how the AFL has anything to do with homosexuality. Just a bugbear of mine. I was able to sing something from their list, and then put in another slip. Soon after, they announced that there was no more room for new singers. I then sat 1 1/2 hours, only to not have my name announced again. As the night concluded, i went to the host and asked why. She said... "Oh we didn't have it". SO...obviously you would get people to wait the entire night to not get another turn. People love to sit for 90 minutes thinking they are having a turn and then not. Makes them very happy. I was extremely disappointed with the professionalism shown at this venue and will avoid 4U2Sing venues in the future.
