After almost a year building up this very sucessful show on the North shore it is with regrete to inform our loyal singers that the venue has informed us that " our services will not be required for the next two shows. It is our understanding that another cheaper operator has offered them two free shows for these weeks with the intention of continuing at a far cheaper rate then we can compete with. Althought the letter informs us of our possible return after this date . We will not be returning to such a venue and have removed 4u2 Sing KARAOKE brand from its association. We understand the temption for the venue to take advantage of a cheaper show now the the work has been done, We also fully understand the game play put in place by the operator involved. In any case we are proud of what we were able to achive in our time at this venue. The venue never had Karaoke before and from the first show we had around 30 singers. It grow into quite a good show with around 40 - 45 singer on most nights. It was the home for The KWC champion this year . All and all a succesful show considering the challanges , As pointed out by a singer below the venue did need to consider if the football or Karaoke was the entertainment they wanted to provide. Even last night the venue made the singers wait an hour due to 6 people wanting to watch the footy, Last night we had 44 singers to cram into 3 hours. The venue was strongly advised not to run cash singing comps as it would have a negitive effect on the show. Still the venue continued to do this and as advise it did effect the numbers. I would like to thank Peter and Crystal for the hard work they also have done making this show a complete success. Thanks again to those loyal singers that support the show. We have found a new venue in the area for a Saturday night and will list it shorty.
