Well, finally made it there and I can see why this place is such a success. A successful fusion of Kellys and Paddy's atmosphere complete with your own resident stars, Rolf Harris and the Crue Brothers amongst others. The venue itself had tables & chairs outside with nary a free spot to see so we wandered into the back pool bar which was delightfully - 1) quiet, 2) air conditioned, 3) non-smoking. Queensland is getting hotter and more humid as the years rock on so airconditioning attracts the interstaters like honey does to flys. I wandered out to put a song down to see what it was like against the objections of my fellow travellers and wow! Clear, loud (no kicking the foldback here!) and just the right amount of FX with a satisfying audience response given the three frogs clambering to climb out of my throat despite mirid attempts to flush them away with liquid courage.

We then explored the rest of the Valley nightclub scene including Dooleys, Fringe and more and then wandered back to close the night. It was great to see a crowd building to 100+ with all getting into the spirit of it all (aside from my travelling companions). This is definately on my list of places to visit when I can spare the time!
