This karaoke gig runs
weekly 8pm-Midnight on Fridays

Had lots of fun at the Ambo last night! I have just put another well deserved W2S vote in for this gig! There were some great performances from some very talented singers! It is easy to see why the Ambo regularly attracts good sized crowds and singers.... it's an excellent, cosy venue in the heart of town, has top notch audio/video gear and has Shaggy twiddling the knobs & keeping the pace of the night moving along nicely! Shaggy also capably manages a disciplined, fair singer rotation system ensuring everyone has a go.... singers could reasonably expect 4-5 songs a night I reckon which is above the average! (Singers, regardless of what sort of music you enjoy, or how well you can sing, you can be assured that the Ambo crowd will be ultra supportive of your song choice and performance! They are a great bunch!) The Ambo crowd typically has, I have found, quite a varied & diverse taste in music which makes for a great night of entertainment with performances of classic songs from the 50s through to today. My voice is still a little bit frazzled this morning - what a great night! I look forward to heading back to the Ambo again soon!
