Cambelltown RSL Karaoke was one of many karaoke karaoke venues that offer great karaoke standards but fail to deliver fairness when it comes to a Grand Final karaoke night! I say this and can justify this because there are certain events that go on that shouldn't, they are as follows! All prize money should be mentioned publicly before the Grand Final and the amounts that are going to be allocated to each place, If there is nothing to hide then don't hide it I say! Secondly I believe hosts should do their job and just host rather than get involved with the judging behind closed doors as this does not come off very professional, particularly when the judges feedback during the competition totally contradicts the results of the competition at the end of it! This is when you know the host has influenced the judge or judges! I believe the choice of judges is also paramount as they need to be an experienced entertainer who also is a singing teacher in order to cover all aspects of a vocal performance. I say this because they need to be able to give constructive advice after each performance. This will clearly show if the judge has the knowledge and experience to have been selected as a judge to begin with! The karaoke competitions would be a more pleasant environment I believe if these suggestions were followed, not to mention more respected! I call upon Clubs and karaoke hosts to please make a change as all will benefit more from these changes!
