From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 9:30pm-1am on Saturdays Karaoke was in the ‘more intimate’ Front Bar this week due to a cover band in the larger Sports Bar. (I like the Front Bar. I love getting in with the crowd when performing, so was looking forward to it!) No room for singer egos in the venue this week (there was one singer who eventually left and made way for more patrons – your ego & attitude is writing cheques your talent/voice can’t cash mate…), it was hot and it was pure body to body, wall to wall dancing and singing – what a night… I got there a bit later than normal only to find I could barely get into the place! Karaoke definitely gave the cover band a run for its money this week! Though down on regulars this week, it certainly didn’t matter in the least, there was more than enough talent and fun in the venue to keep karaoke bouncing along. There was a young lady who sang FA’s ‘Perfect’ (how do I say it?…) perfectly (!)… what a talent – have seen here at the K before, and hope to see her again soon! Axl rocked IM’s ‘Tucker’s Daughter’(its not hard to see why he regularly wins comps around Adelaide – see you again soon Axl?!!), Phil & Les (as always!) did a magnificent job with CC;s ‘Flame Trees’. Mandy and Toni performed some crackers, notably A’s Mamma Mia, and a crowd pleasing, (a)rousing performance of ‘that’ Divinyls song(!) LOL! Rhys’ performance of ND’s ‘Solitary Man’ & RT ‘Someday’ were also warmly received by the crowd. Dean’s ‘Love Shack’ was also predictably good fun! Overall, an excellent night of entertainment! Well done once again Margi, everyone had a terrific time…back to the wide open expanses of the Sports Bar next time eh?! Can’t wait!
