Everyone loves a good night at the retro. Now, lets be honest, we all know the reason we go to retro, its trashy, there are disco balls, 80's anthems pumping out of five levels, and hilarious drunken hens everywhere. The karaoke at retro is so good, because of the crowd. Everyone has dutch courage (some too many), and they cheer for every singer, whether you are idol winning material, or a cat being strangled. Its fun, there is no pretentiousness. The song selection isnt fantastic, but you can always find a song you have in your repitiore. The sound system is not much to write home about, but at the end of the day, youre there to have fun, and thats what you have at retro. Right next to the bistro, so you can have some food while you have a sing. The staff are great (some sing a good tune too!). I recommend you go to retro if you just want to get in the 80's spirit and have a good night out.
