Have not been to the George and Dragon for a while due to travelling interstate, but here is what I think about it. Friendly crowd but at times the group watching the TAB on a monitor at the back of the room near the bar can get noisy and that interferes with the audiences ability to hear the singer. Some of the regulars have amazing voices and are really worth listening to. The venue is pretty stark with no attempts to create a theme or ambience in the room. I asked the publican why there was no attempt to brighten up the venue and he said he was unsure if he could renew his lease, hence no outlay as yet to decorate.. The area used for karaoke is also used for dining, and meals are available early in the evening. Dont come at 9.00 expecting a feed, as only nibbles are available then. I found the flashing light projector used by the karaoke host a bit distracting as it sits in front at one side of the performance area and tends to distract from the singers. Fairly good range of songs available. Appreciative audience.
