We hadn't been for a while so ventured down to Avalon RSL as it is close to home and we wanted to have a sing. The hosts were friendly and enthusiastic as usual. The sound is good and clear though sometimes the singers mike doesn't seem loud enough the rotation is quick without out to much mucking around. Drunks and an unappreciative crowd are a real draw back. We have been there the last 2 weeks and the amount of drunks and people totally ignoring the singers was quite amazing. In one instance some bloke decided to heckle every single singer without anything being done about pulling him into line. Last Saturday we went down and spent 15min there and left as the crowd was just plain unfriendly upon leaving the club there was a couple of guys urinating at the front of the club again nothing was done about them, the bouncers ignored them. The karaoke operators run a good show but the RSL management need to have a good look at how they run the place. Way to many drunks.
