Still running the karaoke + band format but I retract my earlier statement that the bands are crap lol. Band (really just one old fat dude and his childhood 'tric guitar) takes 1/2 hour to setup so starts on the stroke of midnight. Wirless everything with backing track running via laptop and he wanders around singing old favourites in a jazz/rock style struming every so often on his guitar. I kinda liked it and so did the fragment of the karaoke crowd that was left. The karaoke? Still going strong as popular as ever. Books have been updated with the new songs and the night plesantly alternated between great singers, people having fun and the oddballs. A couple of nutcases danced around, jumped up on stage, fell off and then left removing one amusing sideshow. Suprisely the place was nice and cool despite the horrid humidity outside which is a big plus in my books. A nice cruisy place to visit and groove away the night.
