From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-Midnight on Saturdays Just to set the record straight. The operator did not have a disk player with him on the night in point. He did try to have a look at the memory stick I had but didn't know how to insert the files on the memory stick into the playing library on his computer. He did try and for that we say thanks. Every song on the memory stick was on original disks on my person that night. It's not worth discussing it but take it for sure what I am saying is correct. It boils down to the plain fact that some, and I say some Karaoke operators are ill equipped to cater for some patrons. I've spent $1,000's of dollars to buy Original Karaoke disks with selected versions of music I enjoy singing. Why would I go out to sing some unknown version of a song? More and more singers are striking this problem nowadays.. Many singers just stop going out to Karaoke for fear of being disappointed. Some Gig operators are doing the Karaoke disk manufacturers a bad turn because potential singers or patrons walk away from Karaoke when forced to gamble with strange versions of songs. Ask around. Luckily I have a home venue and bar to house 30 people that we can use if necessary. All our friends take their own disks to Karaoke and all have 2nd thoughts about going out now.
