I attended this show again at the urging of a friend of mine Jason who has his own karaoke business and enjoys singing at this venue. The show is well run and the hosts are friendly, the sound is good, the only thing is that they might want to address is getting some light on the singer. When you are trying to watch the singer you can seem them but its very gloomy and the singer tends to blend into the background. I think my partner and I must be very unlucky when attending this gig! Once again very pissed aggressive 20 something year olds ruined the night for us! Broken glass on the floor as the macho boys just dropped their glasses when finished drinking. One of these very drunk singers tried jumping up on a coffee table full of some other patrons drinks with the inevitable result. The host did what I consider the right thing and stopped the show briefly and then let him continue when he hopped down. My mate Jason was so disgusted at the carry on he went and played the pokies next door and I left, Jason refused to sing again that night and that is very unusual as he lives to sing! The hosts run a good show but are badly let down by the club. Avalon RSL really needs to have good long look at how they serve alcohol and control the aggro. Jason said this behaviour is unusual for this venue but this is now 3 for 3 for me very disappointing, a real waste of a Saturday night!
