This karaoke gig runs
every second week 8pm-Midnight on Saturdays

Visited Samford Valley Hotel tonight ie Saturday Oct 27 2012. Greeted by very friendly host Rosalie and she told me that as the Valley Fiesta was on in Brisbane that it could be a quiet night as alot of the regulars may be there. Rosalie sang a country number first up and she had a really lovely voice. I was first up and did two numbers. The sound system was very good with two stand mounted Mackie spkrs and foldback with a high quality mike.. sound reproduction was excellent and a great help to the singer. There were probably three or four singers on rotation with another group of two and you didnt have to wait long for your turn to sing. Venue was good with a nice corner for the hosts and singer and gear. Nice but simple light show of coloured spots added atmosphere. The venue had a pool table down one corner plus some machines or similar and with the bar there wasnt many places to sit and be able to observe as pillars encroached. But good dance floor adjacent to the stage and the hosts work hard to enure a good time is had by all. Thanks Vic and Rosalie.
