From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-Midnight on Wednesdays The First time here and probaly the last. From my perspective, Good points, comprehensive song list that can be accessed from the internet, friendly host, very supportive audience. Bad points, singer rotation terrible, groups of singers come in halfway during the night and put into the rotation one after the other. your one of the next 3 singers displayed on the screen then all of a sudden it is changed and you find yourself halfway down the list after saying your one of the next 3 singers. Inhouse monitors (foldback) above the stage used as if they are front of house and being over driven, monitors are for the singers to hear, not the audience. Everytime someone picked up a mic there was feedback caused by the singers positioned to close to one of the monitor speakers (position the singers in the centre of the stage). No reverb, Just a suggestion to EE, if you are putting on a show at a venue that has a setup like at this one, use equipment that can utilise it properly. The listing says Professional Cordless Mics, for the host, yes, for the singers, wired mics. This is of course is only from my perspective and other patrons and singers may have a totally different opinion Find out which karaoke venue this feedback was written about, and read more singers' feedback as well as giving your own feedback on karaoke gigs you've visited, on Where2sing.com . . . |
