weekly 8:30pm-12:30am on Fridays

My visit Friday 18-Jan-2013: Duo-Hosts, one at the console, one roving. Very effective indeed. The roving host (he knows who he is!!) ad libs a bit and gives a bit of cheek and banter in between songs - which is what gold old hosting is all about!! Well done in that department!! Nice and extremely friendly crowd ... even the "regulars" (which is a rarity in my experiences ...). Good ratio of singers to audience. Spot-On rotation. Smallish venue, but very cosy and intimate, and with a big sound (... I love the BOSE sound ...). Good songlist - I picked a couple of "tried and tested" familiar tunes which I know will be OK no matter who produced the backing tracks - I'm very wary of "laptop songs" unless I know beforehand which manufacturers they are from (and not generic ones "that came with the system" ...) . All in all, a great night out - my first go at a venue situated at "the other side of the Bridge" ...! Recommended! PS: Didn't meet one familiar face from "my" side of the Bridge ... which is a GOOD THING!
