From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 7:30pm-11:30pm on Saturdays Petrie 25th March 2006 Well BOY HOWDY, did ya'll have a big REDNECK time on sat night, I know we did!! Right from the start of the night watching the regulars drift in wearing their redneck/hillbilly gear (some didn't even have to dress up LOL). The crew dressed for the occassion With Tricia as Granny May, Jaimi as Jethro, And myself as the redneck plowboy and Willie Nelson. Everyone brought thier party attitudes and the audience appreciation for each singer was terrific.Wasn't hard to pick the rednecks, there was a little in everyone yeeha. The Redneck Kamakaze went off a treat, with only a few needing help to get started, we had as follows, not in any particular order;Reg & A Boy Named Sue, Andy & Bad Moon Rising, Luke & Devil Went Down To Georgia, Helen & Grandma's Feather Bed, Jaimi & Redneck Woman, Dan & Sweet Home Alabama, Peter & Moutain Music, Evan & Coalminers Daughter (LOL), Jules and Toni & Harper Valley PTA, Phantom & Sinwagon, Lee & Chattahoochie, Bec & Goodbye Earl, Nathan (barman) & Meat and Potato Man, David & The House That Jack Built (quite a stretch) Last of all and the hardest song of the lot was Paul & Three Minute Love Song ( with a little help). A Karaoke disc to those who took part was just a sweetener with all the kamakazi singers having a great time. For all those who came in costume the Petrie Hotel put up a prize of $100, Thas right $100, which was split between Jules and Andy $50 each for audience choice of best dressed. We also said Happy birthday to Jules and Lisa (one of our friendly bar staff), in song of course. thanks and welcome to all new singers we hope you become addicted and come back now ya here, anyway a real blast of a nite , and don't forget next week the comp to end all comps will be starting, see you there!!!!!!!
