From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-11pm on Thursdays I will be back as the host actually ran a very successful gig at the Rocks a couple of years ago. I really like the look 'n feel of this venue as it has an upmarket bar on the top floor and what appears to be a very nice fine-dinning restruant, middle floor was reserved for functions and closed and the bottom floor is where all the action was. Setup with a well-stocked bar and very nicely done with high tables and lounges with the crowd predominately early 20's aside from the resident star, Pappa Frank and his off-kick. The backpackers on a pub crawl looked like they'd settled in and about to do the ping-pong ball thing so I didn't linger but it looks like it could be a really comfortable place to pass the night. Songlist was a bit pop'y and very much geared towards the party crowd with not a huge number of rare and unusual numbers so be sure to bring your favourite discs if needed. Sound was an appropiate volume and well mixed with good lighting and stage with the words up on the plasma screen for the audience. PS: I was the one with the leather jacket ;) Find out which karaoke venue this feedback was written about, and read more singers' feedback as well as giving your own feedback on karaoke gigs you've visited, on Where2sing.com . . . |
