From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-11pm on Wednesdays I have sung at this gig, but it was a while ago. I visited there tonight as I was told that there was a new karaoke show starting up and was a bit stunned to see Pete Graham's show being set up. It has been a while since I have been to this gig and I remember quite well that the Fred Chubb lounge where karaoke is held used to be packed, tonight I don't think there were more than 25 people in that lounge and most of them were not singers. I could never see where there was a 15,000 song list. All that was ever there was a plastic covered sheet on the tables to make a choice from and taking your own discs was frowned upon. Why is there the need for one person to be taking song listings and putting them on a computer and another person to be handling the discs?? Most other karaoke shows have one person to do both of these jobs and they handle it O.K. Most karaoke shows now also have cordless microphones too. Pete if you are reading this, you really don't deserve a venue like this one, this is one of the best clubs around as far as providing the right kind of room, a stage (which you don't use), a good sized dance floor and seating probably for around 200 people. You put out a good karaoke company in F.J.'s Karaoke when you came along a couple of years ago, and in my opinion, your show has not been a good replacement. I have heard rumours that Star Karaoke is taking over, and I have also heard that many other karaoke companies have their names down just waiting for the chance to get into this venue. I hope that one of the better companies succeeds.
