Thanks to all those who sang with us at the Ferny Grove last night. Dave and I felt instantly comfortable at this venue on our first night there thanks to the very friendly and welcoming locals and unbelievably on- the- ball bar staff who are a pleasure to work with. I really like the set-up of this room with the circular bar in the middle, (which struck me would be perfect for a bit of Coyote Ugly happening at some point) and big enough for those not keen on Karaoke to wrack off down the back. Plenty of room for the singers on and off the stage, and a nice space to set up the gear with wonderful leather couches right there to flop down onto after a particularly breathtaking tune. Some great singers, a special note to the guy who asked me to help him with Bad to the Bone, but I stood back and let him do it alone cause he was so good! Very tired and cant think of your name at the moment, sorry mate. And I swear every single one of those singers was the spitting image of someone famous. We had a Jim Morrison, a Johnny Depp, a Jim Belushi, the list goes on. Get down to the FG girls, you dont know what you're missing! Got a feeling Im gonna love this venue, a fat old time had by all and it can only get better.
