The Alderley Arms has a lot going for it - great food, friendly staff, approachable management and most importantly, they have karaoke operating on both Wednesday and Thursday nights! Although starting later (between 8:30 and 9pm) it doesn't take long before everyone starts getting in to it and having fun. Previously this venue has had the reputation of being a rough army pub but that is no longer the case. Although the boys do frequent the venue (especially karaoke) when they're in town, they are a tamer and more accepting crowd than a few years ago. I would even go as far as to say the term "AJ" (Army Jerk) doesn't apply to this particular karaoke going crowd. So for all those karaoke addicts who may have avoided this venue in the past, you're now missing out on a really great night....oh, and did I mention the boys certainly make for some rather nice eye candy while you're waiting for your song! The male host is energetic and entertaining and uses a huge professional sound system, sure cordless mics and all the bells and whistles (smoke, bubbles, lights, big song selection etc). It really is a fun night not to be missed!
