From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-Midnight on Fridays Thanks for your opinion Pat and I guess you will continue to attend the karaoke venue that suits your preference. Our research shows that there also others, who attend this particular venue, who like to have dance breaks and that they prefer that to a "karaoke only" venue. It all comes down to the patrons that attend the venue. it's not MY venue, it's theirs. I am there to provide a service and not to please myself. If it was my choice, I would be singing every round (or more) like some hosts do. lol. I love to sing just like you do, but I don't take up singers spots each round so there is more time for singers and dancing. Singing 3/4 songs a night is not everybody's preference, as I saw at another operators show recently where approximately only 20 singers got one song each in 3 hours. There were numerous dance breaks, games etc. and much jibbering from the hosts. BUT there were over 100 people at the show. This show was not my "cup of tea" and I probably wouldn't go again but there is certainly a market for their show as displayed by their attendance. Our show at Prospect Hotel is essentially a karaoke show with a couple of short dance breaks later in the night. Of course, if the patrons of this venue change their mind and want non-stop karaoke or want something different altogether, we'll do our best to cater to their needs. Thanks again for your feedback and good wishes.. Feel free to join us sometime, as I love to hear you sing.
