From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 7pm-10pm on Sundays Well, I just got back and although I was disappointed that it wasn't Brad in Drag it was indeed a great night. I wasn't sure what to expect but I thought it was a very well run night and the Queens were *not* barbed in a nasty way. Lots of singers so expect 1 song per hour but your certainly never bored. The songbook is indeed small but they've stripped out all the boring songs which is a great idea and well known upbeat rock and pop is what flies here. Yes, the sound is compressed to the max but it kind of suits the place as in a sweaty pub rock sound. There is no foldback but it is not really needed. I didn't see Pappa Frank but his wife was there singing 'Hello Dolly'. Lotsa backpackers and some good singers mixed in with large rowdy crowds having a good time. Reminds me a lot of Kellys On King St Newtown in terms of atmosphere and crowd. Highly recommended!
