Yeh I have to agree with Dave here even though this is one of my shows. This is definately not the type of gig the general karaoke goer would enjoy. Its always packed with party people and the crowd is quite alternative. The song choices are generally the same, hard rock or alternative. The wait for a song can be a while and that is high on the vote metre when people vote I would think. The only W2Sers that frequent this venue are the type who would also go see a band in Newtown so watching some of the local talent sing "experimentally" is as entertaining to them as singing themselves. As for it being voted as a top ten venue, I can't see it ever happening as its not the classic karaoke venue. Most karaoke people (like myself) like to sing as much as possible and this isn't the venue for that (although you can get quite a few songs on Wednesdays). Thanks for the good review though Trish, this is definately a show I am quite proud of as I see it as a show that stretches the cliche attitude of what most people think karaoke is. Cheers, Rob.
