From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6pm-10pm on Sundays Even though there were not the usual number of singers last night, it was still a very good night. There was a fairly big audience though. Mick decided to get his own back on Joe for being "Ruth" last week and so Mick decided to dress up in drag (many thank to Cathy - "Puss in boots" and Toni for their assistance). People are now saying that I have grounds for divorce (lol) but to be honest, it is the first time in my nearly 8 years of marriage to Mick that I have seen him dressed up in drag. He did it well (should that be a worrying sign??), he went around the whole room and talked to people and just about bought the house down with his antics. One thing that did go well and in his favour is that the Vice-President of the Club was sitting with his wife watching the show and for him to publicly acknowledge that the act that Mick and Joe put on was (in his words) "fantastic and the fun that they had with it is what karaoke is all about" is a real feather in their caps. Cathy has an excellent video of Mick and Joe singing "The Lady Loves Me". The night ended well with all singers up on stage singing "Silent Night" and I think that everyone who was there well and truly enjoyed themselves and the weird and wonderful antics that Mick and Joe just keep coming up with. I know that some people think I am prejudiced in the fact that I keep calling Mick and Joe the "dynamic duo" but they do work well together, and for a karaoke show to succeed then the working relationship between the host and panel operator has to be a good one.
