From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 9pm-unknown on Wednesdays UUmmm I don't know where to start, beng a host I don't want to be too criticle of another companies show but I kinda feel I have to. Tunde and I headed down to Cheers last night after dinner to have a night of being a punter for a change. On arrival we were greeted by a security guard who works at another venue which we work at. He was standing at the top of the stairs but another guard yelled at him as he was supposed to be downstairs with the karaoke. When I asked why he didn't want to go downstairs he said "The sound hurts!" We decided to head down anyway and check it out. We lasted less than a minute. The karaoke was running through 2 x 10" speakers which were being driven so hard it WAS litterally hurting our ears! Apart from that the list was pathetic but the room looked great but not too many people as most were leaving for the same reason as us. The host was an Aboriginal guy who was dressed in a sparkly superhero suit. Would like to add more but this is all I could get from this gig in less than a minute. Was quite a disapointment as were really looking forward to having a nice anonymous karaoke night out. Instead we ended up at one of our shows......again.
