From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 9pm-unknown on Wednesdays I went here two nights ago, and was impressed by the guy hosting it. He's energetic, fun and entertaining, and really works to make the singers feel comfortable. As with all Entain gigs, the speakers are set far forward of the singer, but in this case enough was being pumped through other speakers that the sound on stage was actually good. The 'crowd' was about 10 people, of which there were 6 singing including the 'Robert & Papa Frank' duo. Even Papa Frank sounded good here, and the small number of people made for a friendly a chatty crowd. Pints of english beer at $6 (yes, great), and friendly and efficient barstaff. The host was handing out free beer vouchers occasionally, and when I asked if I could trade mine in on some portion of my favourite English pint, the bar manager immediately decided to honour it with the full pint - now that's a bar manager who is intent on building business. This venue is right in the centre of town, and I think always quiet until about 11pm at which time youngsters start coming to play pool and occasionally sing. The singer is in almost total darkness, but most of the monitors on the wall behind the singer are now switched off. This is a gig that those who may have previously abandoned it might be surprised by the difference with a new host - as long as you're happy singing a lot and with a very small audience.
