This is definitely a well established karaoke catering well for its large 250+ crowd of youngsters. It has a decent set of hosts, good sound (small slightly underpowered speakers, foldback however the sound is certainly good enough for its locals) and list and its own resident 'character' who awakes the crowd. The venue itself is huge with the karaoke held in the Ivy Bar or you can exit into a beergarden and wander through to a pool room. Further exploration reveals a large, decent bristo although slightly on the expensive side at $15 for the de-rigor chicken schnitzel. Upstairs at the top of 2 levels of ramp is another bar setup for the local Manly Vocal Assoc to hold its regular acts which are pretty darn good. Sound up here is better mainly due to enclosed space & better acoustics (and I like Whafdale Speakers better lol). A great view over the Corso, pity it was pitch black.

Getting back to the karaoke, it starts quiet but by 10pm the place is packed and on the cusps of devolving into a mosh pit. Noodles of energy and pump ing with bright young things out to impress, if this is you and Manly is your boat – check it out!
