From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6:30pm-10:30pm on Wednesdays A low sprawling club set within an area with plenty of parking, the whole feel here is 'laid back'. There's a large seating area in front of the nice stage, though many tables are masked by the large columns. The husband and wide hosting team works well with the husband being the presenter, and he is lively and injects fun into what might otherwise be a rather dreary night. The audience is almost exclusively older, and the songs sung from the 30s, 40s, and 50s reflect this. The songlist is good, and the few younger members do select some more recent hits - but singer quality here is 'just the locals having a go'. Eating here is also a surprisingly disappointing experence, neither being particularly low priced nor having great range unless you fancy pizza, but this is a place where kids are welcome and are provided with an entertainment area. The locals were really friendly and appreciative of all singers, but the audience was decimated once 9pm was reached - and declined further in numbers from then on. At odds with all of this was a really excellent host with really nice sound, though it needed sitting nearer to the stage to appreciate this. Surprisingly, the sound on stage was excellent, and the lady techie was very responsive to changes of singers. Whilst the venue may not be the most exciting, I'd recommend checking this host's other gigs.
