Karaoke started late during to the major prize draw that was run by the club, either club members have lost interest in this prize draw or they just didn't bother to turn up as it took over 2 hours to complete. The prize draw started at 5PM and didn't finish till just after 7.30PM. I had a lot of complaints about it, but there is not much that I can do. That side of things is out of my hands and up to the club to run. Mick or myself will deal with any complaints to do with Karaoke Kapers, but when it comes to things that the club itself runs, (like these prize draws) and if they go over time, then it is best to talk to someone in the Management team about it. When karaoke got started it was just after 7.30PM and we were not given any extra time due to the length of the prize draw, so with 40 singers Mick had no option but to close the books pretty well as soon as karaoke started. To the people who came up to me in response to seeing The Band Club as the feature on the front page and I had to tell them that the books were full and no more singers would be taken, then please accept my apologies for this, but in fairness to the singers who were already there Mick felt that he had to give everyone at least one song. I hope that these people will come back and visit us again.
