From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6pm-10pm on Sundays Our "Heroes from Heaven" theme night was a great success. There were 48 singers and we do apologise to those who did not get a second song in. I would like to thank those who dressed up for the evening, Sandra who came as Marilyn Monroe, Ice who came as Elvis, Chris Lee who came as Freddy Mercury from Queen, Emmy who dressed up to be Frank Sinatra, Billy who dressed as Elvis (we had a few Elvis's last night), Garry who dressed up and sang a Johnny O'Keefe song, Mick dressed at Roy Orbison and Joe as one of the Blues Bros and all the other people who dressed up a little or a lot to pay homage to their favourite dearly departed star. I was asked several times during the night who thought of the idea for the theme night and I have to admit that it was my idea. It is something that I have thought about for quite some time and I thought that it would go down well with the crowd at the Band Club. A lot of thought, time and preparation went into the night, Mick painted a peg board black and I downloaded photos and printed them out so that he could put them on the board and then he went around the edges with gold glitter (and yet the house is full of gold glitter!!!) Joe bought in guitars and part of his drum kit to make it look like a Rock and Roll stage area and the effect was good. There will be more theme nights later on in the year, and I will keep people notified about them via this website. My thanks once again to everyone who participated in this night and made it the fantastic success that it was.
