From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 10pm-2am on Fridays Hubby and I have never really found a 'bad' karaoke gig because we believe that you if you're out for a fun night, you can make the best out of anything but having said that, I can say that we won't be returning to the Harp Hotel Woolongong. I think that because of it's extremely high volume of uni students looking for some drinks and music on a Friday night, they do not need the karaoke here, the kids would still be there with just a DJ i'm sure. The sound was poor, no foldback on stage and no one was really interested in anyone singing, loud and noisy during every performance. I also have to ask, why do venues such as this, which are getting more drinking patronage than any other establshment in the vicinity have to charge so much for drinks? $1.50 more for spirits than any hotel that i have been to in the sydney area, 0.80c more for a beer? We loved Wollongong, we loved seeing the uni students enjoy a well deserved break from study but we really didn't like the Harp's karaoke. Thankyou.
