From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 9pm-1am on Tuesdays Hi there everyone, well I went to Darwin N.T. on a 4 week Holiday and of course to see my relatives, neicec and nephews and families. Well I just had to do some Karaoke and where abouts, well I asked some of the security guys and got some good info of about the best places to go. Being right in Darwin, well I tried Shannigans Irish Pub had to wait around till 1030pm before anything started thats late to me and the Security guy was right they hardly have any sober person singing there and its packed alright like sardines but standing up. Another suggestion by the security guy was just down the road still in Mitchell St, this is the IDEAL SPOT yep its "The Fox" nice stage, room left at the front so you can dance if you want, you can also sit outside beside the stage as double doors open outwards. Stools and tables so you can sit inside too and the smokers kept at the back. It was very well run on "SUNDAY" by Paul the host of other Venues I'd been to. Not only do they have Karaoke on SUNDAY but they also have it on "TUESDAY" as well. Its hosted on Tuesdays by a Michelle a lady Karaoke host! The Fox offer 'one' drink Voucher and Raffle tickets each time you sing for a chance to win $20 Voucher and this is drawn twice during the evening. The people were very friendly there, even had photos and Videos taken of me and other fellow Karaokeists. Not having people sloshed that spoils things but having some great fun. Good on you Fox well done and of couse the Karaoke Hosts on both nights. Sunday Karaoke starts at approx 7.30-8pm through to midnight and on Tuesday it starts at approx 9pm. The Fox is situated in Mitchell street next to the Hogs Breath Cafe and oppisite Ducks Nuts Cafe (formerly a Sizzler restaurant) My wife and I really enjoyed our economical evenings and MOST entertaining evenings spent with the Fox. Have been back for a week now and I can honestly say, I'll be definently returning next year. Hope you others who have visited have had the same good experience. I also went to the Hub Sports Club/Palmerston RSL that is on a Saturday night its a long way out of town starts late is a large area and is packed its ok but a long way to travel back to town afterwards. Thanks for letting me have the chat. Keep Singing along and enjoying yourselves.
