From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8:30pm-1:30am on Fridays Went there Friday night with a bunch of friends, had to wait quite a while to sing and everyone just talked all the way through it anyway! By the time we got there (9.30) most people were too drunk to care much. Sound was OK but not brilliant, no foldback for singers and you had to really project your voice to be heard over the music. The lady running it was good, she even let my Indian friend get up and sing a song in Hindi without music, for which he won 2 free drink vouchers. Everyone was pretty good about it although I heard a couple of racist comments. Most of the singers were pretty average although you expect that. Contrary to what I had been told there are no normal competitions running (it says on their website that they give away $100 a night but when I askefd the lady she said they weren;t giving any cash away). Overall it was OK but not the most brilliant setup ever. The lights were also a little blinding.
