Karaoki Blondii Regarding your comments on the recent grand final of the talent contest. Firstly as you would have noticed there are revonations going on at the club and not a lot of seating space was available. The auditorium was booked and as such we had to put the talent contest on in the limited space made available to us. I have been at talent contests in other venues where the karaoke area was a lot smaller. Also regarding your comments re the "limited selection" in our song books. There are over 8,000 song selections in those books - hardly what a person would call "limited". I might add here that if you were one of the contestants (and I suspect that you were) if you had a problem with the area or any aspect of the competition you should have bought it to my attention, after all everyone knows who I am at the club. To the winners of the competition, Warren Potter, Larry Tyler and Pat Reynolds, Congratulations to all 3 of you. All of you did well and deserved the win. I should add here that the scoring from 2nd place down to 6th place was incredibly close, a matter of one point in some cases and the winner won by a margin of 5 points. In 4th place was Christine Gittoes, 5th Garry Eckersley and 6th Kevin Marsden. To all of the people who have become regulars at the club, normal karaoke will resume next Saturday so I hope to see all you then.
