Kev's karaoke - Peakhurst Mel & my first time here and have to sum it up we were pretty impressed. Firstly the is easy to find and has easy parking. As we entered we found the inn to have a comfortable atmosphere of a modern pub / inn. After getting a drink at the bar (very reasonable prices) we then went and asked for some songbooks from the host who was still setting up. Kev introduced himself and is a friendly easy going bloke. It's always a pleasure to meet a nice host. Wow, after getting the setlist we have to say Kev probably has the largest list we have ever seen at karaoke. I was really please to see the books were arranged by artist and by song. In my opinion all karaoke should have this, it really makes your selection so much easier. Pro's (in no particular order) 1) Great sound 2) Huge list of songs 3) Extensive lights setup, bubble machine, fog! Kev makes you feel like a pop star! 4) Friendly host who runs a good show 5) Young crowd that were fun but not stupid Con's 1) Guitar-eoke...Hmm Interesting concept - But with all the tuning and setup B.S. it really interupts what was a fun, well run, enjoyable karaoke night. (I am a guitar player who up to this year used to gig every weekend) 2) Not really a con but there was no foldback. But if you knew where to stand it was still really easy to hear (i guess I just get used to it from playing in bands) All in all a great venue Mel rates it as 7.5 I rate it at 8 -Mick
