Easy to find, parking out front, good size room (operator says grand as a palace? maybe not!). Great sound, great lights / smoke machine. Good foldback. Corded mikes (wireless or corded does not bother me). Great rotation. Friendly host (Dean) who likes to dance and flip around on the dance floor! I have met Dean before at Kingsgrove RSL I think. We went here Melbourne cup night. Host was running a tad late but apologised and got on with the show. Room was almost dead to start with but quickly filled up and there was a pretty good crowd with a variety of singers. Friendly 'bootscooting!' locals. Friendly bar staff. Drinks at reasonable prices. We got 3 songs each which was good. Good song list. Songs arranged by artist & song title. Host plays a couple of minutes of disco music in-between singers. Cons are: 1) I don't like high 'stool' seating because I have a crook back. The majority of seating is high stools. There are other lower seats so if you like this kind of seating get in early like we did. 2) cigarette smoke tends to come into the room a bit from where the smokers sit in the doorway but this wasn't too bad.
