About six months ago there was a couple who run the Karioki, and it was very good, i would say it was the best in the North the hostess was very proffessional, and the sound system was first class, the couple running the show certainly got the attention of the crowd. i went back there about three weeks ago and there was this other guy doing his stuff Managment really knew what they where doing when they got this guy, within twenty minutes i was bored out my skull, the same singers who couldn't really sing, bad atmosphere, I heard the Brook was trying to get more people in so they down graded the the quality of the Karioki, when i was there there was about ten people in and that was about 10pm. it was garbage.and i wont go back there. The fact is these places like the Brook make there money on the poker machines, thats the bottom line here, they couldn't give a stuff about the quality of the Karioki, as long as there is bums on seats in the poker machine room. so anyway i left i got a taxi to the Kedron Wavell RsL. headed for the Anzac Bar downstairs there was no entertainment on that sat night, they to are making to much money on the Pokies to be bothered catering for the average person who is more responsible with there dollar. so i went home and watched a movie, it was called "Not Without my Daughter" good movie you should have a look. scootie
