1st RETURN VISIT Thurs 06 Mar 08: Belated Post - THE KARAOKE: More singers (some familiar faces) turned up by 9pm, and shortly thereafter the show started. Nat and Matt again put on a fantastic SHOW – they are indeed great entertainers and singers in their own rights, again providing appropriate harmony and stage antics when called for during the performance of each song.. Rotation was very fair, and again we have a fair mix of singers, the old, the not so old, and the young. And again, it appears to me that the awarding of the $25, $50, and $100 prizes was fair and random (KJ Aaron who met me there again that night got the $50 prize – told him that he should be ashamed of himself, making himself eligible for the prizes!!). THE VERDICT: I welcome the additional songs; sound’s still bed, as equipment wasn’t used properly, to the max; but all present don’t seem to mind, in fact they all had a ball! Confirming that this is NOT a venue for the karaoke purists (small songlist, bad sound, inferior karaoke player, etc.), but for the other 95% of general karaoke’ers , it’s a real blast (great venue with unsurpassed facilities, proper stage, great hosts who really know how to have fun themselves and put on a great show for all).
