From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 7:30pm-11:30pm on Thursdays SSG sorry you had a bad night. Just want to clear a couple of points with you from your comments in the general forum. 1. "as my friend had been shafted (another girl had picked the same song only moments before)" This is not being shafted it was a case that the song had already been put in and whilst we don't mind the same song being sand twice on the same night there does have to be some time between the same song being sung. We keep our song slips and rotation sheet and I can see where the song for Sam and yourself has been crossed out at 10.15pm however the song that you put in to replace this was not given to the host until 11.00pm by this time the song sheet was full with a majority of singers waiting to sing their first song of the night This was obviously an oversight by the hast due the lengthy gap between putting your replacement song in. Unfortunately we are human and mistakes do get made for this we are sorry that it spoilt your night. 2." the male host decided, that instead of letting her sing her 1 song - he would sing 3 songs, within the space of 20 mins! " Just to clarify these 3 songs. The first song was sung at 10.50 and was a request from a regular who does not sing (Prisoner of society) we do sing request songs for non singers as they also support the venue. The second song was sung at 11.10pm and was a duet that the singer had asked the host to sing with her (Grease Mega mix) The third song was the last song of the night and was sung after 11.30pm which is when the karaoke had finished which was in our own time. A Further song was sung because the crowd at the front of the stage asked for one more and after getting approval from the management it was done. These last 2 songs were done by the hosts to finish the night off.
