From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 6pm-10pm on Sundays Mick and I are sad to leave the Band Club and wish all the new operators well. From our discussions with Management there will be a "revolving karaoke" concept. It might work it might not. We will not be there to see it. We had some great nights there and as Catman has said in her comments, most nights have seen us with 30 to 40 singers which are good singer numbers. Yes there are some not so good singers, but most karaoke shows have this problem and there is not much that can be done about it. Yes Karaoke Kapers had been there since 2002 and that is a long time for any show to be at the one venue. We were contacted about this decision while we were in Queensland on holidays last week but not told why Management wanted to see us, we found about this last Monday (5th May) and it has come as a bit of a shock to both of us. Mick and I will be back at other venues - in the meantime we are taking a short break. Microphone, good luck with your show there, you will probably have a good crowd as we have not been allowed to say goodbye to our regulars by way of a final show. I am not quite sure who the other operators are but I believe that Foster and Joan are amongst them. So good luck to all of you and goodbye.
