From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 9pm-1am on Saturdays My partner & I were in Sydney and looking for a karaoke night, & the Brewhouse was mentioned so we went along for a look. Nice place we thought, got a drink and checked out the song list. I picked a song went over & handed it in, & glanced over the equipment. I THOUGHT this is going to be good, all top brands, desk and speakers. The music started and we were horrified. My partner said give him a chance to get the mix right,so we waited about 8 songs,no change. I was watching the hosts and i didn't see them adjust anything. Then came my go, When I sat back down my partner said that was the worst she has ever heard me sound. More singers continued & the sound did not change. Music was tinny, Singers were to loud, No adjustment between male & female voices, No effects on the vocals that we could hear. We left, called a friend to find another show and drove another 25 mins to Penrith. We got to this other show, equipment half as good But the sound was 100% better. I hope the first host has learned to use his gear, next time we're in Sydney we might drop in to have a listen on our way out to Penrith again. It just goes to show you don't need the BEST gear to run a Great show you just have to know what your doing!!
