From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs:
This karaoke gig runs
weekly 6pm-10pm on Sundays

Thankx to all my supporters at St Mary's Band Club last sunday night. I can see that this is a venue that will not change its ways, unless we do it. The idea of changing the Karaoke style won't happen as long as you have the same old crowd wanting the same old show. I was told that Entertainment was what they were looking for instead of what most karaoke opperators do, just sit there. In this club they average from 55 to over 60 singers. You idiots do the maths. Unless you are an opperator you should shut your mouth as you would have no idea how many singers you can get through in an hour or 4hrs. On sunday we got through 13 singers in the first hour and 61 in 4hrs that was with tria questions as the singers were comming up. We only did the nutbush and the out back club dance, woopee, that took a whole 8min of the show. The sound level was fine, for this venue they might need to turn down there hearing aids as I could count on one hand how many young ones were there. What i did sunday by giving away $65 in $5 notes to the audience for trivia and making the most noise to people who werent singers why would you complain about that, everyone wins something especially considering they dont give away free drinks, noone else thought of it thats why, and noone else had the band clubs Logo on the big screen and noone else promoted whats on in the club. As far as i could see over the past few weeks, they are always going to get the same old faces nomatter who does the gig. They are gonna only complain about people who dont let them sing heaps of songs. I dont understand why they are getting rid of the 1st company in the first place as i think any show as long as all you do is straight karaoke will do. I will never change my shows as well, hey, i must be doing something right in all my other venues and they vary from Pubs, Clubs & Rsl's and they are all young or old people.
