From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-Midnight on Thursdays The place is very nice and has good security. Big stage but not enough lighting. The sound is too loud and very poorly mixed (you can hardly hear the bass). Only few songs to choose from. The KJ always disappear delaying the flow of the gig. Very disorganised and sometimes the singer is already on the stage and the KJ is still scratching his head looking for the cd. I joined here the Karaoke World Championship trials. I chose 2 songs but the KJ probably forgot or lost my second song. Luckily I won the heat with one song. During the finals, when I sang my first song, I got a bit confused of the cue because the music wasn't started from the very beginning (mixing delay) and unluckily, I wasn't looking at the monitor. My first song was a failure so I already knew that I blew up my chance. During the competiton I sat on a stool at the back to see the stage properly and also the audience. In front of me was a young lady with a pen and paper and she was surrounded by other young people chatting and drinking. I was assuming that she was the judge because she was the only person in the audience with a pen and paper, but i said to myself that she cannot be because she was chatting during the course of the competition. And guess what, yes, she was the judge, and of course the result was not good and was a big joke. It made my blood boil because I noticed that she was not that serious or probably has no idea on what she was doing. I've been to diffrent competitions and this is the first time I've seen a judge talking while a contestant is singing. I am sure that most of the singers there put their time and effort to prepare for that competition and found out that this one was an insult to their talent and was a waste of time. I am really shocked that they were allowed to run a KWC trials. This is the first time I joined the KWC comp and I am really disappointed. Quakers Inn should get a more professional Karaoke Operator.
