What a fabulous venue! It's like an aladin's cave with curio's and memoribilia strung up and over every surface. Great for a game of I spy between songs. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit on. The Host (I am so sorry but I have forgotton his name) was friendly and sang two songs to get things rolling - He hAs a great voice. There were probably about 10 singers on the night but they were all of such a good standard, it prompted the host to ask if there was a world championship karaoke competition going on that he didnt know about. There would hae been about 40 people in the venue. A Fast and fair singer rotation and a great mix of old and brand new songs with 5000 or so to choose from. The singers also sang a wide and varying range of them too. Good quality walk about radio mikes and 3 LCD screens that I saw with lyrics (there may have been more that i didnt notice) dotted around the bar, coupled with that layed back Palm Cove attitude, meant that singers could walk around the bar whilst singing, and they did. No need for a stage here on this night. I was told that this was the quieter of the two nights and that Saturday nights, the joint is really jumping. I wish I could have gone to that night too. What really surprised me was the quality of the sound. It was OUTSTANDING!!!. I found it really easy to sing here. It started at 9, just after someone (again, sorry i dont know your name either) with a guitar had finished serenading the dinner guests, so people were already warmed up to sing or listen to some "live" singers and i think that also encouraged the friendly and appreciative audience. It finished at 12 but I think we all wished it could have gone on for longer (CURSE YOU LIQUOR LICENSING BOARD). If I am ever in this part of the world again, I will defenitely be back. I recomend this venue to all.
