From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 7:30pm-11:30pm on Tuesdays (PART 2) The venue is somewhere I never quite determined in the middle of a maze of one-way streets around which my GPS had me circulate for several minutes, and although plenty of parking is available on the street, you'll be pumping in cash at the rate of one drink for yourself, one for a mate, and the equivalent for your meter. The venue itself is intimate (read: small), but nicely decorated and with plenty of seats and tables all with a view of the stage. The stage itself seems high, and those with larger than size 10 feet will need to tread carefully as even the LCD monitor seemed of superior size. The sound on stage is as good as front of house, standard EE fare - above average, appropriate volume and very nicely balanced. To test the 'largest songlist in Sydney' claim I wrote a song not listed in the book, and it was found without fuss, and was a good version. The crowd of about 30 seemed mainly singers, and of quite a varied quality and style; several W2Sers were there, and I noted Maximillian, and I now put it on record that there is no such wine as the one Music Addict claimed to be drinking, and that next time I buy him a drink that he should wait until we are out in the carpark before attempting to give me a kiss. It was a very friendly crowd, and would be an ideal place to go both as a single, or as a couple. For me, the outstanding impression was of the quality of Jason's hosting, something that would have me go back purely to watch - and it's rarely that I would consider a host sufficiently entertaining on his own to merit this.
