Although technically located on the corner of Smithfield Road, your car GPS will prefer Cumberland Highway; and although the venue is right on the corner, I missed it because the tavern's signs are in faded colours and difficult to see at night. But the venue is big, modern, and the karaoke runs in the main area atop a huge stage. Plenty of comfortable seats unless Catman has installed herself in the prime ones, and useful tall stools and tables up the back for the riff-raff like myself and Kev. Large songlist, excellent sound, good lighting, what seemed like an accurate rotation, and some very good singers. Perhaps the very size of the venue reduces the sound quality from superb to purely excellent back in the 'cheap seats', because the sound on stage was truly superb, and probably the best I've encountered in the last couple of weeks. The hosting was also good, enough patter to keep the night going, and not so much that it overshadowed the singers - find several W2Sers here, and beware a Songbird with a camera. If you enjoy spacious venues with all the comforts of home plus superb sound, then this in one place in which you need to sing.
