Since I was last here, the karaoke area has been extended, and the stage and host are further from the bar. This extra area serves to keep the sound largely away from the bar area, so it's quiet near the bar, and normal volume (read: normally slightly quiet) near the stage where there is still plenty of seating. The gentleman host stands and hosts whilst the lady attends to the discs, and this leads to a very smooth and laid back hosting style. The hosts are also often to ben seen on the dance floor during songs, and this also gives a very friendly and inclusive feel to the night. The crowd is generally older, including several handicapped people who love to sing, so expect a night of older songs from singers who are there purely for relaxation with any pretences of being Aussie Idol material. I have always found this host's sound to be of good quality and well balanced, but it always a little quieter than one might expect, but probably as befits the crowd that is there to chat. The song rotation appeared accurate, the sound on stage was excellent, the host's style is professional and very courteous, and this is a friendly laid back night.
