From the Where2sing.com singers' feedback on karaoke gigs: This karaoke gig runs weekly 8pm-Midnight on Wednesdays Very impressed with a lot of different aspects of this gig. The venue itself scores a lot of ticks; very conveniently located, both close to public transport and has street side parking (plus a massive carpark around the back). Very swish, seemingly done-up bar-style pub with visable security. Drinks are a tad pricey but they had 2-for-1 cocktails so helps a bit. Mary is behind the console and there's a guy that works the mic (forget his name) and by and large, very impressed with his room presence and MC style, laid back but authorative at the same time. He hit my pet hate however square in the jaw when he started the second rotation (first rotation went for about 1hr 20) with Evie Parts 1/2/3. It's a bit rude when a punter does that but completely uncalled for when a host does it. Gig run off a computer and it seems a lot of new stuff not in the book but is available so do ask. Impressive stage and multiple screens for the audience plus nightclub style lighting were also ticks. The thing that really raised an eyebrow (in a good way) though were the toilets. Often the bathrooms get the least attention but the loos here are clean and smartly presented and to top it all off, they've installed TAB screens in front of the urinal so you can take a leak and not miss a race...
